Washington Park Music Festival

I am happy to announce we are bringing WPMF back as a day show during MPMF. THis years event will be bigger and better, and best yet, it will be rain or shine with tent protection in case it does rain again.

The event is a celebration of local music, and an introdcution to Washington Park, one of Cincinnati's best kept secrets, an aboslute gem of an urban park. And we are tying it this year to the School for the Creative and Performing Arts which will be breaking ground at the front door of Washington Park later this fall. See our myspace page (www.myspace.com/wpmf) for more details and samples from some of the bands that will be playing.

Stop by Washington Park (across from Music Hall in Over-the-Rhine) for drinks, food, music and mingling on Saturday, Sept. 29, during the last day of the annual rock 'n' roll event, MidPoint Music Festival.

Bands include Pearlene, Bad Veins, 500 Miles to Memphis, (with one final band to be confirmed soon) starting early in the afternoon and leading up until MidPoint kicks off with its pre-party that night.

Fountain Square

The crane is down, and the square is often packed. One of the coolest events is the weekly movie on the square on Saturday nights... it's free and often packed with people. It's a great concept with the early movie being kid friendly (Finding Nemo this week), and the later movie being focused on adults (Jaws was the movie).

Head on down and check out the new square, grab some dinner, and just enjoy the urban setting.

Coming soon, Via Vitte (on the square - wine bar by the owner of Nicola's in OTR). Also coming soon is Potbelly's sandwich shoppe to be open by November. When it's all done it should be great for the holidays!
