Wifi - Project Lily Pad

I am part of a new initiative called Project Lily Pad. The idea is to bring free wireless internet to the entire region. Every business district, every park, every public square. It will promote the region to not only business and leisure travelers, but also make for a better living environment for locals.

There is a great write up today in the Enquirer about Wifi and the impact it does and can have on the region. Project Lily Pad gets a specific section. The program is built around sponsorship (tax free as Lily Pad is a subsidiary of Give Back Cincinnati) by businesses for each of the 'Lily Pads'. You can learn more about Lily Pad by attending the "Re-igniting the Passion" Lunch sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. Where Ryan Rybolt will be one of four panelists talking about the image of our region, and specifically in his case about Lily Pad.

If you would like to help we are looking for team members. You don't have to be a techie to get involved. If you are able to at least understand the concept of connecting to a wireless internet zone you could be a help. We are looking for everything from PR to Sponsorship to web developer. We have tons of ways to get involved in this new initiative. If you have interest or would like to know more, feel free to contact me at chairman@givebackcincinnati.org
